Daddy was watching the kids

So this afternoon I went with Karyn Shopping. Steve stayed home with the kids. They were playing Wii when I left. While at K-mart in Hooksett I called home to see if Steve needed anything while I was there. He says no but I was just going to send you a text message. Jonathan was standing a little too close to Christopher while he was bowling and go hit with a controller - he has a bit of a black eye. Nice huh - can't leave them for a minute! The many colors of a blackened eye.

Christopher's party

Uncle Fernando and the kids were in the jumpy thing while Gramps and Justin Jr were over on the swings. The store did not have Kung Fu Panda when we ordered the cake so we went with Care Bears! Christopher almost gave himself an asthma attack trying to blow out the candles. Bree and the rest of the Nichols girls loved the fruit salad that Michelle and John made. Jonathan was totally excited to get presents too. Maddie was not happy about sharing her time in the Jeep. This is a not so often seen smile on Daddy's face. We all had a great day. Almost everyone was very late. Michelle, John and the girls were here at 845 to watch the boys at soccer. They helped set up and John manned the grill. Auntie Sa and Uncle Nando brought potato salad. Neena brought Uncle Billy, Renee and a very expensive salad! Crazy! Kaylie stayed over so her dad Matt could get a tattoo - too bad the artist blew him off on Sunday. Auntie Nicole thought the party was at 2, so she was a little late along with Granny and Gramps. The Nichols tribe rolled in a little late but that was fine because the chicken and burgers were still frozen. Auntie Karyn helped make the meatballs and burgers on Friday and she strolled in the latest but we knew she would be late - bunny business you know!

Happy Birthday Christopher

Today is the 6th birthday of our oldest boy Christopher. He is, in his mind, not six until we have a cake and he wants to wait to have cake until his friends are here. So anyway, we went over to pick up Auntie Karyn and Madelyn today to "celebrate" with us. We took the kids to ToyzERUS for a shopping spree. Christopher went right to the electronics department and picked out Mario Super Sluggers. Then we walked the whole store. The kids put things in and out of the carriage and finally decided on some things. Christopher got a WallE figure, Jonathan got GatorGolf and Madelyn got the ladybug game. They all got carebears - just the small ones. They also got halloween costumes while we were there. Christopher and Jonathan will be dressed up like Lightning McQueen's pit crew and Madelyn will be a lovely pink princess. When we were leaving the store Auntie Karyn decided just to leave the carriage in the lot instead of walking to the corral. The carriage immediately starting rolling - into a vehicle that was occupied by a very large man on a cell phone. He did not look happy when the carriage came to a stop at the side of his brandy newey looking caravan. Then Karyn left it in another spot in the lot where a nice man moved it so that I could drive straight out of my spot. The carriage again went gliding down the parking lot toward a car parked on the edge of the lot - that man ran ofter the carriage so that it didn't hit anything. Hmmm - was that Auntie Kerri letting us know that she was there? One will never know - but it would be something that she would do. After the shopping we went our fav chinese place in Londonderry where the children made a fine old mess - had to leave a nice tip for the owner. She sang to Christopher and made Jonathan a special doggie bag with his 2 fried wontons and many many fortune cookies. We then took a small trip to Rite Aid pharmacy to get a thingy for Jonathan's inhaler....The kids were wild - from all the msg I would guess! So I took them to the car while Ka paid for the shopping.....LOL Anyway - Here is a big olde happy birthday to my boy - gosh he makes me feel wicked old!!!

Gramps painted the kitchen

Gramps was here this week and he painted the kitchen for us. While he was here he did a few things from my honey do list. I had him adjust one of the drawers, check the dishwasher and watch the kids so I could run an errand. While he was checking the dishwasher the boys wanted to get in on the action. They were "helping". Yesterday I went for a dental check up and found out that I need a root canal in one tooth, capping is needed on that tooth and the one next to it and have cavities in 3 other teeth. I am opting to have the tooth pulled because well - I don't have that kind of cash around to have a root canal and 2 caps. So while I have the gumption I am having the tooth pulled tomorrow in the morning. Wish me and Gramps luck. Granny offered him up to chauffer me around tomorrow so that Stephen does not need to miss a day of work. Poor Gramps has already been here 2 days this week and we are all heading to Saugus on Saturday for a birthday party for baby Justin. Poor poor Gramps. He has to drive Jonathan to school, hold my hand while I am at the dentist, back to Auburn to pick each child up at their schools, feed the kids lunch, then drive me over to Bedford for the boys annual check ups, plus (don't tell Jonathan) 3 shots will be administered during our annual visit. Poor Poor Gramps - good thing I am his favorite - LOL

Jonathan brushing his teeth

Jonathan was sent upstairs to brush his teeth. A few minutes later he called down to Daddy for help. This is what we found.
